    Farmall 300 and disk size ?

    I pulled a 12' IH 370 disk behind my 300 utility for years,12' 7.5" spaced disk,comes out to 40 blades I got a 12.5 or 13' pull type harrow I hook to it sometimes too,that's a load for it but it does it in 2nd direct.. I got a 560 and 450 I use now but the 300 will do it fine

    looking through the transmission and final drive manual gss 1340 and it mentions a shifter swivel shaft seal kit but doesn't give a part #, any of you old boys like Pete 23 or Janicolson have any information on this?

    grandpa always said he paid around $20000 in the fall of 1976 on a brand new 1466 cab blackstripe, he said the 86 series were new and on the lot,so I don't know if the 14 was discounted a little or what.. Tractor is still in the family and I think the only or last one he bought brand...

    Im going to some soon on mine, should be better than the 303 stuff and not near as hard on the wallet as IH hytran or JD hygard ,the price of that stuff has got stupid... The prem farm store stuff will be better than anything oil wise, when they were new

    Exactly, it would bolt right up, in my mind the clutch and bell housing would be the hard part, I wonder too if the 450 fuel tank could be made to fit easier?

    I've wondered with all the IH wizards on here, has anyone swapped a 450 C281 into a 560? I know it would be a huge project and a lot of things would have to be changed/fabricated mainly the fuel tank, because the 281 is a lot taller, I think itd be a neat conversion with the 560s features, power...
