    4620 JD pto seal

    I can feel the snap ring 15 against the Bering 16. It shaft and housing will pull away from the trans case about 3/4 inch and I can stick a finger on and feel the snap ring but I don't think I could ever get it undone or put back in like that.

    Do you think the bearing (16) will slide off the pto shaft? I know the bearing is held in the outside (20) by the snap ring (15). I've got the housing free from the transfer case but now it's hung up on the shaft. Thanks for the reply!!

    I've taken loose the 8 bolts that hold the quill on. It will come out about an inch then stops. How do I get it off so I can replace the seal? Thanks
