    Hi, Looking to order parts for this tractor. The dash has been replaced, no model/sn plate. Anything I can look for to identify what model it is? Has a 200 loader and a gas engine. Also has the right foot pedal directional pedal. Says acc on it (throttle).

    Thanks, that's what I thought. I remember 12 volts at the distributor even though I installed a napa coil IC14sB. Shouldn't the voltage be lower at the dist?

    1964 Ford 4000 idle problem

    Hi, I changed the points/condenser. All 4 spark plug weren't firing and were replaced, as well. What could cause all 4 plugs to go bad? It appears that the points now have excessive blue arcing across the points. The electrical system has been changed over to a 12 volt system. I'll check later...

    1964 Ford 4000 idle problem

    Hi, I have a 4000 with a 4 cyl. gas engine that won't go to high idle. It cuts out at about 600 rpms. I did install a carb kit after two days of soaking it. Timing is at 4 degrees at 425 rpms. Carb is receiving fuel to the float chamber. It does idle well at 425 rpms, just won't increase. I have...

    Hi Joe, sure it's a U, not a D from my previous response. I was able to run a flashlight beam across the face of the numbers making it very clear to me. Worn, but clear.
