    Farmall 230 securing locations

Thanks guys for the comments. I wanted to use four separate chains. I am thinking on the rear, a chain going through the loops on the rear wheels and the short piece of chain bolted to each side of the front bolster. I will get an old piece of fire hose or something for the rear chains. I...

    With pic

A cotter pin normally goes into that hole. I would soak that hole good with penetrating oil and find a punch that fits the whole properly and see if you can drive out what ever type of pin they put into the hole.

McMaster Carr has the plugs. I believe the original are the internal square drive fittings. They are standard NPT fittings.

    Richard Schock - dealing with?

Hello, Any one deal with Richard Schock from Salmon, ID? He has some parts I may be interested in. I found a negative post regarding him from 2012, but didn't know if it was a one-time mix up or a problem seller. Thanks.

    Pin hole in fuel bowl

The pin hole is in the carburetor bowl that contains the float. I saw this stuff and it looks interesting. It has a 350 degree melting point that would keep from melting the pot metal. It can be worked with a propane torch. http://www.muggyweld.com/pot-metal-repair/ The stuff is...

    Pin hole in fuel bowl

Hello, I am restoring a 230 Farmall that was not running when I bought it. When I bought it I noticed a JB Weld type product on the exterior bottom of the Zenith fuel bowl, obviously to fix a leak. Yesterday I removed the material and found a pin hole in the bottom of the fuel bowl. I...

    200 hydro seal

I have crossed referenced every seal on my 230 restoration and have had good luck that everyone one of them was exact (knock on wood). Sure saves a bunch over the IHC prices. Let me know.

    200 hydro seal

Clint, I had the manual in front of me while I was eating dinner. Seems the cross reference indicates the Farmall seal is also equivalent to part #471466 for National or a Timkin seal. That is .625 ID 1.128 OD .25 wide Greg
