    T0-20 oil-cold conditions

Just purchased 1st tractor! I am using this tractor for plowing snow (3pt) only in up sate NY under cold conditions. I was looking at changing eng and rear diff/trans/hyd fluid with 10w-30 or 10w-40, does that sound ok and should I make sure it is NOT diesel approved? Why not diesel approved?
