    Looking for another idea.

Haven’t been following this one. What is your temps using a heat gun ? Radiator, upper and lower. The block temp, head temp ? Maybe a good block flush would be next.

Just in the knick of time.

Always good to get the seed in before a rain, always good to beat the rain making hay too ! 1 to 2 inches sounds like an aweful lot of rain at once ! Here 1 to 2 may ruin a new seeding if it didn’t dry up after that. Don’t know your area and maybe you’re hurting for rain. As of right now we...

    Napa Gold oil filter

I usually buy my filters from Napa. Have had good luck so far. I noticed in this post and a recent one you’d mentioned the price of oil. Seems oil is cheaper out there. A quart of oil here is between 7 to 12 dollars. Depending on what you’re buying. Some deals on the 7 quart jugs, and 2...

    Tractor HP recommendations…

We do not have a loader tractor on our small 40 some acre beef farm. We do have a skid steer, and a Cat 307 excavator which makes things easy. For a tractor I would say somewhere between 50 to 60 hp would do it. I’m an Oliver and Farmall guy and would say maybe an Oliver 1550/1650. Maybe a...

    St Patrick’s Day

How many here do something for St Patty’s day ? We have close friends who are Irish, and they asked us to go to a parade with them tomorrow. Neither my wife or I are Irish. Not even a little bit. I think we may go just to see things and be with our friends. No green beer for me. Looks...

How many people still fill a grease gun by hand, from a 5 gal pail? Pushing grease to the bottom of the gun with a flat piece of wood. Stan

I tried that once or twice. Not for me at all. Tubes are cheap enough, and unless you’re greasing 25 pieces of equipment they are more economical when u figure in your time. Packing grease into a grease gun ? How often doesn’t it work because of air pockets? I put 3 or 4 tubes of grease into...

    Tractor size for square baling?

I agree. Our fields have some decent inclines. We bale small squares with our Oliver 1750, New Holland 271, and a flat wagon behind it. Use the same tractor on the round baler. With the ups and downs you wouldn’t want a smaller tractor. We aren’t flat landers and yep a smaller tractor...

    Photo adds help

Is there a way with the new photo adds format to look at specific brands ? I went into it and went under tractors. I then went to filters, but didn’t see an option to say look at only Farmall, or say only Oliver adds. What am I doing wrong ?

    Lost my phone

I work road construction as a heavy equipment operator. Years ago I tried a bunch of belt cell phone carriers. Seemed like they were always falling out of the holder and bouncing around in the cab of the machine. Worse was dozer work. If lucky when it came off my belt, bounced around on the...

    Flat face couplers

We have that style on many pieces of construction equipment we have at work. Loaders, skidsteers, excavators, ect. Generally if there is no pressure the work ok. Some go together easy, some put up a real fight and are extremely aggravating. Ours have a small nub that must be lined up with a...

    Paw prints

Hard to tell. I have a firearm within reach of my bed, carry a pistol, and have others handy. I would say maybe a coyote. Maybe not. Better pics of tracks would be better like in the snow, or soft dirt. Gravel isn’t the best !

    New stop/start feature

After a quick review on google it appears the feature will not come on if you are doing certain things or the vehicle is on a steep grade ect. There are numerous things that will automatically disable the feature on my truck. One is running the defroster which I was this morning causing the...

So I got my new to me 2019 F150 Thursday. It has the start/stop deactivate button on the dash. Start /stop feature was working till this morning.
