    "negative" as in the picture, not polarity ;) I think farmals had the starters behind the flywheel, so the starter would rotate in the opposite direction to turn the engine in the same direction, or do I need more coffee? O.o

    I bought some bales once my JD 790 would not lift with the 3point bale spike, I had to raise the front with the loader then let it back down to move them :P it would hold them up but not lift them

    Ok so I had two broken springs in the TO20 starter. so I look around and buy a set of springs with bushings and brushes, they come, all good. But the springs I got are wound in reverse of the ones in my starter? so maybe they fit some starter that rotates in the opposite direction? need some...

    you can park that in my yard anytime :) seems to be a matter or tracking down the short, turning on the lights killed it, so I would look very close at the light wires and switch, see if you have something frayed if your lights are wired so they will only come on when the switch is on even...

    did some closer inspection ans sure enough somebody cut the original gauge hole bigger to install this dash vent air cleaner. suits me fine though, I like it ;)
