    As far as I know, Alum expands more than cast and is normally 0.004" per inch of diameter. Thanks for your assistance!!

    Not sure, it's my Brother-in-laws tractor and at the shop getting all things checked. Inserting cam bushings and checking line bore, inserting sleeves etc. The "old overhaul manual" shows the ring gap as "a gap of a well worn dime"!! And nothing on the piston clearance. Thanks for your info!!
