    Grass isn't abnormally thick..just regular field grass some thin weeds. Its 82hp engine, and I've ran a 10' nh discbine on it in thick hay this year and never even knew it was back there. I know if it'll pull a discbine that 15' shouldn't be an issue. My neighbor runs a jd 5085 basically same...

    I'm looking at purchasing a new 15' woods batwing mower. I have a MF 4708 70 pto hp and will be cutting waist high field grass nothing spectacular. I use a 8' behind it now and it toys with it. So I'm assuming my tractor should handle this as well without any hiccup?

    If it don't bring more than $300 I'll keep it for mowing in the woods here at the house. Few I've seen on Craig's list going for about 400 or so.

    Thanks! This is almost like a banging sound. At first I thought my blades were hitting the deck but it's not. It does It constantly and it's driving me nuts. Can't figure it out.

    No not from what I can tell. I turned it by hand and pulled and checked and they seemed fine. It just started making this noise..up to this point no problems whatsoever.

    HP needed to run a NH 658 baler ?

    I have a NH 658 and I have a 84 hp massey 4wd and a mf 135 diesel. I have pulled it with both...and I can tell you it works the 135 to death..both in hp and weight issues. My 135 is basically the same as your ford. Now however my 84hp doesn't even know it's there. Id get a bigger tractor...

    What size discbine for my tractor

    Tractor is rated at 84.9 hp according to the spec sheet I have from Massey and 70pto hp. I used my buddies 9' discbine nh today on it and it didn't even know it was back there.
