Took the 8N (it's a 64 2000, but really just the phase out of the 8N, not the real 2000) out this morning and we were dragging a leaf rake, not much work at all, and was hearing an intermittent scraping sound coming from bottom of tractor. 64 Ford 2000 Intermittent White Smoke and Pop from Exhaust
My tractor starts/runs fine. Today it started every minute or so it will emit a puff of white smoke out of the exhaust and a light single pop. Good temp, oil pressure, otherwise no smoke out of the exhaust. What do you guys think? -

Hydraulic Cylinder Rod Straightening
To close this one out fellas. I found a chopper shop that got my two rods to 3 thou for $50/each. Much better than $800 for each cylinder. I've put one back together and works like a champ.- allenlane

Hydraulic Cylinder Rod Straightening
A bit off topic, I managed to bend two hydraulic cylinder rods and the manufacturer wants an 2 arms for them. A fella on the interweb says he can straighten them to the 7 thou tolerence, and I found a shop that says he can do it. Anybody had any success with doing that?- allenlane

Realized a prior owner just cut the bolts off flush front and back and they will not drive out with a punch and sledge. I don't want to mess with trying to drill them out, so plan is to heat up the axle around the bolt with a torch to break the rust to see if I can free them up. I also loosened...- allenlane

From researching post here, although lot's of different opinions, and calling my local New Holland dealership I am going to put Tractor Supply Travellers UTF in all 3 chambers, Trans, Hydraulic and Rear Diff. Anybody think that is not a wise thing... -

Before I start taking stuff apart, I'm assuming all I need is a new seal and the gasket (4 bolts) on the PTO cover. Seems pretty simple. Any surprises I should know about? -

64 Ford 2000 Fuel line routing
