    John Deere B buried

I removed one of these several years ago....couldn't see tractor for the briars...a friend took his trailer and a 1010. After 4 hrs we managed to cut it out and finally get it on trailer. You're just getting the cast iron value unless you're wanting the experience. You will economically...

    John Deere 260 backhoe

I'm doing some upgrades to a John Deere 260 backhoe. Plan on adding additional plate to accompany a thumb. I've looked high and low and can't determine the thickness of the boxing on the boom. Any information is requested if anyone has done some updates. Tks in advance.

    JOHN DEERE 630 UPDATE

Most of the large oval mufflers are practically enough weight to make it break....maybe a taller barn?

    1951 B Steering?

I took a grinder with thin blade and slightly ground the other teeth on the gears...very pain stacking work...but was able to get the gears to mesh completely through the cycle...then I adjusted gears together and was able to get all the slop out of the steering...if you got a lot of patience...

    John Deere B RPM

When I changed my B's over to 12 volt...I used A generators which are 12volt to satisfy the correct police....most of the time I found that the regulators were the culprits...John Deere put those on top of the generators where they would shake and also they put them about 4" from that hot...

    John Deere B RPM

From experience the B generators may barely keep the battery charged...never had any problems with the later model Delco 12 volt generator....in changing my old B's to 12 volts the starter was 6 and would turn at a faster cranking speed.

    Sad day

Don't think facebook crowd is in the old tractor business. I really think Tractorhouse is a good marketing too but is pricey to use. I'm like the other poster....facebook is not my bag.

Be sure to check your lockers on shifters and make sure they are in great shape...also the upper shaft for wear at the 1/3 gear position as they were used extensively in this position 3 rd gear...pulling planters and roading with backlash and speed shifting as trashed your 4/6 gears...be sure...

Running Johnny Poppers on cheap fuels (theoretically)

The use of this fuel is labor intensive than diesel...takes at leaset 180 degree temperature for a gas/distalite tractor to burn the fuel...need to start on gas switch over at that temperature then back to gas as it cools off...all old technology did this...get you about a dozen sets of plugs to...

630 three point hitch down spring

Why don't you use the quicklink or a regular quick link and you don't that to worry about that comtraption….or weld the loop shut....I say it was a poor design from Deere on the get go and why you don't see the springs....

630 three point hitch down spring

As I recall the S hook was the problem and it was on the weak side. One of the new links with the screw coupler would work better but wouldn't be police correct...per other stretch out and put spacers then install and remove. Actually it was a P Poor design and I bet many on them were plowed...
