    One more question. I have a 6 volt coil, I have ordered the ballast resistor but do I need a second resistor to drop the voltage to the coil from 12 to 6 volts or does the ballast resistor do that. Thanks Blair

    My starter is just spinning. I was sure it was the starter I think. Removed it from tractor and have on bench. Using a battery charger with 6 volt to test, it was barely spinning before but with a little oil on bearing and clean up I have it spinning good now. But my question is the gear...
