Unfortunately I had to take a break

Convenient. Who initiated the 'big bang' And why did it only populate one of the planets from it's result?

Unfortunately I had to take a break

Only God knows the answer to that, some day hopefully you'll ask Him that very question face to face.

What's the preferred method of online payment, nowadays?

That's pretty much what the end game is, remember how well that worked for the Canadians during the trucker strike a few year ago? Yeah me too, can't wait:eek:

What's the preferred method of online payment, nowadays?

Well it must have been Paypay that scammed you, as I understand it whoever you are buying/selling from never sees your information, just Paypal, they pay/collect from the other party and you pay Paypal.

Why is there a price difference

All those trucks you see going all across America need diesel fuel to keep moving, lots of diesel fuel. People with diesel vehicles can avoid using as much when the price goes up...but trucks are a rolling business that needs to be operated daily or they lose revenue. I believe that's the...

    Silo for Saturday

Nice one! Thanks for posting. Any idea what the building houses? With the 'ADMISSION' over the entrance it must be a business of sorts?

    What was I thinking?

Thanks for the suggestion, I know no matter what I do...I'll need something to occupy my time. Working for myself most of my adult life kept me busy sometimes even more than I cared to be, but I always found a way. I'll find a way to stay busy in a retired situation I'm sure. Thanks again.

Methods of getting stuck bolts out.

That's a rare occurance right there, and with a square on even...they usually break the easiest for me. The size of the one you have there I refer to as a hole plug, because that's all I've ever been able to use them for.

    What was I thinking?

I like this work but it's getting tough to do it with my back problems, I hurt my back originally in 2011 in a truck accident, compression fractures. I was able to do everything I needed up until last summer it got worse, Spinal stenosis with my collapsed vertebra so I'm in a considerable...

    What was I thinking?

I'm 70yo with a bunch of heavy equipment and a couple trucks I use in the summer months for my dirtwork. I'm lucky to have a son that helps me with the heavy lifting anytime I ask, He's 49yo with a wife and two teenage daughters and a Truck sales manager for Freightliner/WesternStar and 90 miles...

percent of posters actually are farming

I worked for farmers when I was in school, but after that forestry and trucking and my current occupation dirt working. I looked back and saw I already made a comment here, I sorta thought I had after I made this post. The good news is I didn't lie the first time, or at least if I did I told...

    Ridiculous accounting/taxing question

Although I'm not into agriculture therefore I don't deal with government handouts I have been self employed for most of my adult working career. That being said I don't do my own taxes but my wife has been doing them for 30 years or more and using Turbo Tax for most if not all of that time. If...

How to tackle no-start low battery (days below -20F)

I would get a good jump box, I have a Dewalt myself but there are many too many to mention really, keep it in peak charge and hook it up before even trying to start the tractor, that is if you can even get to the battery as the machine sits now? and that should get it going each time you need it...

    Silo for Saturday

What a neat looking set of buildings, and it looks like they left one in original condition to have as a reminder of the old farm. The silo looks original and unused, it does still look to be in far condition though. Thanks for sharing.

Might stop changing my own oil.

I guess in my area I'm just lucky that there are very few independent shops that pull the crap like mentioned in some of the comments here, like finding things to bilk more money from customers. Those that do are well known and they rely on new customers, as my area isn't overly populated and...

John deere 240 skid steer with a hole in the block.

That's a nice machine with a good engine. This should give you an idea of what a remain would run you. https://www.countrysalesandservice.com/product/john-deere-3179t-remanufactured-diesel-engine-to-fit-240-250-2150/ If you can get the skidloader cheap enough something like it might work for you.
