    Thanks for the response. I don't plan on rebuilding the injectors when a reman can be found for $45. The tractor isn't mine. I suggested injectors to the guy but he responded with "but it was running fine before." I drained out 7 gallons of water and oil.

    I'm currently overhauling a 986 that had a cracked sleeve. While the head is at the machine shop, I pop tested the injectors. They all popped off around 2500 psi. The atomization seemed to be less than ideal. I have a manual for the 400 series block and it says 3600 to 3750 for new and...
