That makes a lot more sense then. Mine is missing that cone shaped washer. That would explain why it can simply slide out after the install. Now to find it with NH! Thanks! Jeff -

The left side of the pic is the small side that sits inside the larger. The link you posted looks like the 'sleeve' in the smaller side on mine. Jeff This is what I bought to replace mine: -

Sorry to resurrect this thread. I tried a new post and got no responses. Mine did not have any sort of washer on there when I took it apart. If it is likely to scratch the line enough to harm it, is it that tight on the tube? I am struggling to find a good answer as nothing holds the... -
