    thats what I was thinking as well. The combustion chamber had a lot of carbon build up that I tried to clean out. Tried to get under the valves as well but I might have to take them out to clean them better

    Hi all, I have been passed down a 1941 John Deere L with the hercules motor. It hasnt ran in 20+ years. I just had the magneto rebuilt and timed it myself using the spark mark on the flywheel. I get good Blue spark Right on time in each cylinder. I know the carb needs rebuilt but before I do...
