    Jets are adjusted for the usual initial setting but it won't run long enough for any fine tuning.

    I don't think the clip would make any difference, the rotor fits VERY snug on the shaft so I'm quite sure it isn't moving at all.

    Plug wires are wire core and look fine Cap looks 100% (like new, and maybe it is!) 12 volt negative ground (alternator) Rotor button looks new and is tight on shaft, however it does not have a clip.

    As I said, firing order is right, distributor cap appears to be brand new, condenser also appears to be new and I seem to get a very bright spark, the plugs were badly fuel fouled so I put a brand new set in. Nothing improves the situation.

    That centrifuge oil filter is a FANTASTIC advance and works great. Nothing to replace, no cost just clean it out and back to work! Scania used the same thing. If you look at a Case 2870 tractor you will see one there (Scania engine).
