Need to transport 28'' Airstream MH ID to TX

It is a motor home, NOT a trailer. A typical tandem dual gooseneck trailer that can carry this amount of weight usually has a 34 inch deck height; a pierced frame trailer is a little lower, so height should be OK. If using a semi-tractor/trailer it would need to be a low boy.

    brake controllers

Were the 6.0 and 8.1 both available choices in 2004? What was the first year for the 6.0 and last year for for the 8.1 in 2500s and 3500s?

Is Stabilizer Arm needed with Bush Hog?

A proper OEM type bar is not really flat, there should be a very slight curve at either end where the holes are; this keeps the tips of the bar from binding against either the bracket or the implement and makes it easier to install. They should not be installed "upside down", with the curvature...

    Chevy 6.0

Are you sure the 6-speed behind the 6.0 gas is an Allison? I thought it's a GM TH 6L90.

    Chevy 6.0

I have a 2008 3500 with 6.0 and 4.10. It gets around 13-15 mpg empty; this is about 2 mpg less than the 1999 3500 with 5.7 and 4.10 that it replaced. It's been very reliable so far. I have a question, I seem to remember reading somewhere that they changed something on the 6.0 HD in the past...

Looking for Ferguson or Massey Ferguson Disc Harrow bearings

es, something doesn't look right. Only one blade beyond the inner bearing but 3 beyond the outside bearing. Those disks came in 2 different frame sizes; maybe someone installed the longer axles on the narrow frame disk. Also those disks, at least the AB-022, only used 7/8" square axles and they...

    Z134 Oil Filter

This is testing my memory, but I believe the same filter cartridge from Fram, Purolator,Wix, etc fits the Z134 can as the one used in the pot on 8N, 9N, but the gaskets are different for the one that sits in the block versus the one that goes in the lid on the 8N. In the old days you would often...

    Tractor hauler

Of course you would have been OK with the 16K truck, you can run any truck up to 26K without CDL. Personally I'd rather drive the straight truck with no trailer. Go with whatever you will get the most use out of and will be able to load easily and carry the weight safely. You can even pull a...

    1958 TO-35 23C Diesel Battery

I would forget about the parallel idea, it will have the potential for more problems. If one of the parallel batteries starts to go bad it will take the other one along with it; not so with series. On the other hand, unless you are striving for an original-like appearance, I would go with the...

    Antifreeze for 283

What is a proper antifreeze for Waukesha 283 diesel? Is Peak Global OAT type OK, or should I just use plain green type with some kind of additive? Walmart has the Peak Global OAT. Can I just put that in and be good to go?

IH 314 two way moldboard plow

I have the complete parts catalog and also the operators manual. Messicks in PA show the chain parts available for order, even individual links and the chain eye-bolt tightners. https://www.messicks.com/cas/64250 Chain parts are listed in the MAIN FRAME section. If in fact they are still...

1955 TO35 clutch issue with PTO?

Unfortunately, if something was "locked up" you may have made things worse by choosing to move in low range. Low range would apply maximum torque to the bound up parts and more likely to bust something. If in higher gear more likely engine would stall or clutch would slip or fail. What were...

1955 TO35 clutch issue with PTO?

ust because he hears the gears making noise doesn't mean something isn't broken inside; maybe try to get the top shifter cover off the trans and take a look. As far as the rear end inspection, can you remove the pto shifter plate and look in thru there with a light? He should try to locate...

1955 TO35 clutch issue with PTO?

his is good advice, unfortunately he should have tried this before putting power to it and hearing the loud crack/bang. Well, it appears to be "free" now, I sure hope nothing in the trans got busted. This tractor probably has the "ground speed" pto option. I never heard of them getting locked...

1955 TO35 clutch issue with PTO?

Added: I hope the load crack you heard was just the clutch disk center breaking and not a gear or shaft in the transmission if it was locked up. With hindsight, when you realized something was locked up you should have stopped right there and tried to figure out what was wrong.

1955 TO35 clutch issue with PTO?

I know these tractors sometimes have a problem with worn shifters where the transmission will get locked in reverse. Would it also be possible for a worn transmission to get locked in two gears at the same time? I'm just guessing, but that might cause the symptoms you described, where something...

    White 2-70 Water Pump

Yeah, that's what had me worried and to ask the question. I have done a few MF with cast pulley and have about a 2 out of 3 success rate without breakage. P.S. J. Schwiebert, I will try to open my email. Thanks
