    Ferguson TO-35

My son just bought a Ferguson TO-35,1955 model I believe. The wiring harnesses that we have found cost a small fortune. The harness for the Massey Ferguson 35 is cheap. My question will the one for the Massey Ferguson work on his tractor? It has the continental gas engine. Thanks Jack

    Borg Warner T-18 Lube

I have an 89 ford F-150 with T-18 trans an 300 inline L6 engine. I'm going to change the drive train lube and was just wondering If the new thin lubes now used in our 8N's that actually have better friction qualities than the older Greases, why won't they work in my T-18 4 speed? Thanks...

    Turning Turtle

A few weeks ago, a man I used to work with was carrying a roll of hay into the woods on the front of his tractor as his wife watched. He must have miss jugged the location of a low limb and when it slipped past the hay the limb struck and killed him. Don't know exact details but I know as I...

    Stories?

My grandfather's sister's husband, a WW1 vet was my best friend when I was 5 yrs old. He had a 9n and would let me stand on the axle trumpet and hold on to him while he plowed. I've never gotten over watching those bottom plows roll the soil. I've never farmed but worked in the hay and...

    Drawbar Control Link Dangling

I believe the dangling part is Draft to Position control linkage. Does the selector under the seat, right side move freely or like it's actually connected to something? Jack

    axle bolts

I have the same situation. I think one of mine is coarse thread and the others are fine thread. If I replace them it will be with grade 8 fine thread just to be sure. Jack

Ford 8 N runs great on 1/4 choke

First thing, how did it run with old carb? Is it the same issue? Even though it's new it could be trash making it starve for fuel. Bad gasket, carb to manifold or manifold to block. Somebody with more knowledge than me will chime in. Jack

    Hydraulic pressure

I leave them on the ground now that my grandchildren are taking interest in my tractor. Could be very dangerous. Jack

    Hydraulic pressure

I checked my 8N hydraulic pressure today and the old gal (1950) in doing 1500 psi. It was interesting to note that the pressure with the 2-12" 101 plow lifted to the top, takes 550 psi. Makes me think about not leaving it setting around holding things up for several days at a time. Jack

    8N key start

I wouldn't think so, but I wouldn't even think of not using the original push button because of the safety issue. I start mine sometimes while standing on the ground, and they will run you down real fast . My dad came close to getting over run be he got out of the way just before the tractor hit...
