    I have my G705 weighted to about 10,500 with 23.1-26 rubber. I usually just plow with a 4 bottom since it's easier to haul, but no noticeable slippage.

    Hey Curt- How's things? I have a pair of those inner weights, and I think they are around 700-750 lbs each, from what I can tell. Once I took them off of a G705 I bought, I never used them again.

    I talked to the guy again on Friday. He found the valves he needed, but did run into a problem with the gaskets on the serial number split. He bought a gasket set with the wrong head gasket, and after installing it, he found an oil leak from the larger oil passage hole in the gasket. All fixed...

    Of course it will, but only the lift is changed.

    Duration at .050 will be affected very little, and would be negligible. Lifter diameter (flat tappet) has absolutely no affect on duration, unless the cam lobe is running off the edge of the lifter face! Roller lifters are a different story.

    Ken, Increased rocker arm ratio will only affect total lift, not the time the valve is open. The valve will open and close the same as stock rockers. Opening and closing time (duration) is determined by the camshaft.

    I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times, but is there a common spray-can paint that is close to the white on a '77 Case 1370? Took the cab off, and need to paint the fenders going on. Not looking for perfection- the rest of the tractor isn't getting painted.

    A friend is working on an HE217G that is now powering a sawmill. He's rebuilding the head, and his machine shop isn't able to find any valves for it. Any suggestions on a source for these valves?

    That's the way I have it now. just wanted to clean things up a little. Never worked on a steering pump on one of these. Just always assumed the power steering ran off the main hydraulics. Learn something every day!

    What's the IH spec? 45 at rated rpm sounds about right to me. Idle is a little low maybe.

    That's about the same thing I do, Jack. I used a 2x12, and marked the end pivot points, as well as the center, and double the reading.

    I like the 30 series a lot, but for styling, the 70 series is my favorite, in white. 1175 would be my first pick. Just took the cab off of this 1370, so it looks a little better now.

    Lawrence Wilson makes them. I spoke with him a couple of years ago about a 2-over 4th. He also offered a set that made 2 and 5 over.
