    Case 310 wont stay in Reverse help needed

    If it turns out to be a bent fork, that would be a fairly easy fix. If gear replacement is in order, I would use a bungee strap to hold pressure on the shift stick in reverse to get me thru the winter. Then, would have time to fix it when weather lightens up. Bob

    Best thing I have done is drive two steel posts and tie three strands of nylon rope between them. Not tight, just hanging a little loose so the tree can still grow without wrapping around them.     Can you post a pic of the lever you are talking about? A pic taken from you sitting in the seat of the clutch and shifters would be great. That would narrow it down as to what kind of clutch and shifter setup is on the tractor for us. Bob

    44 PTO Clutch Question

    Is the mower still spinning when you are trying to shift gears? If so, it is pushing the PTO and still spinning gears in the transmission. Have you tried letting the mower stop before shifting? I use an over-running PTO adapter on my 44 for that reason. Bob
