    8n idle revs itself up

    Guys, what is out of wack that could explain why a good running easy starting 8n (52 side distributor) would rev itself up at idle so I have to throttle it way down. It will idle real slow say 400 rpm then go on its own to 1000 or more. Doesn't seem to do it under any load, you can idle along...

    i have been told that you are right it doesnt matter which way they are wired as far aa the rotstion of the starter but all 300 series are positive ground and all came from the factory with 12 volt. you cant have the starter wired negative ground and the charging system positive. how would you...

    sorry that is why i bought the second one, some one had changed the spindles, i dont know if it has the stock king pins or not, i am going to scrap the axle unless someone wants it.
