    So I haven't had the 5020 out in 14 years. Tried fitting batteries today 2 12v in series but when I touch the linking cable they just flash. What am I doing wrong? Am I correct in saying they are 24v (alternator stamped 24v) and the their is no earth (ground) in the syatem. Any thoughts welcome.

    From my previous post it seems as if the rack on the fuel injection pump could be stuck. Can anyone explain how to get at the pump. A workshop diagram would be helpful if anyone can help. IT shop manual doesn't show much.

    John Deere 820 black dash two cylinder. When I put it away earlier in the year diesel engine started and ran fine. Tried starting today and although she turns over fine it wont start. Any thoughts on what might be the problem? Did wonder if anything could be stuck with it sitting for several months.
