    That front coulter almost looks canted. Otherwise, they are adjusted to get the cleanest ground peel from your shin. The bottom will pull through the ground easier too. That also all depends on soil type & conditions. Sometimes you don't even need them. Mike

    Agreed! I shave with an electric shears, nick myself in a few spots & I look like a rookie that tried using a straight edge. Which, coincidentally.... stays in the drawer these days. Mike

    Most likely for one of the multitudes of horse drawn sickle mowers built by many different companies, well over a century ago. You'd have to thumb through some books on pre-1900 farm equipment to hopefully come up with something. Mike

    Sounds like it was swapped out for a diesel tank, yes. Slight possibility the engine was changed over at some point in history. I'd think the suffix letters on the serial tag should tell you. Mike

    Farmall H,broke bolts in water jacket cover

    I just knocked the rust off with a wire brush & blew it out. My engine was apart for a rebuild though. Was able to clean all the rust out of the system. If you are working on a running tractor, you may just want to reattach the cover & flush out your system. Straight vinegar works good for that...
