I think I have 5 gas STD pistons... Don't think they'll work for dsl- ikeever

861 Diesel (172) Head gasket won't take
Reconditioned/checked head/block, ARP studs 110ft-lbs, Fel-pro head gasket. (tried with and without cooper spray). Still can't get it to seal up. Seems to be leaking around the pushrod pass-through area. Anyone have any tricks? I'm all ears. -

FORD 172 Diesel/ Gas Who REALLY knows???
OK, I've done extensive search on the block difference between the gas and diesel 172, and i"ve heard everything from different head bolt size, different number of head bolts, NH makes the head bolt step down to make a diesel work on a gas block...? Who really knows what they are talking about...
