Best thing...

I have a 990 David Brown. When you start it the lift comes up and won't go down until shut off. Control lever feels like its working. Could it be a valve stuck open?

John Deere 2010 Lost Power steering and hydraulics.

Take the filter / screen out. Fill it with oil. Run the air out of it. If you don't have anything, be sure that pump is fully engaged. Play with the lever on the side. That drive turns all time I think, but if it is not meshed into pump you won't have anything but a little friction turning the...

You can also run without screen a few minutes to see if that is the issue.

John Deere 2010 Lost Power steering and hydraulics.

I believe there is a relief valve in the pump. There is also a lever on side of tractor that allows you to kick pump out of gear for ' cold start ' If you have to access pump it can be removed under belly of tractor with out splitting . But make sure pump is engaged, and if that does not...

    800 series ford

Was working on 800 series tractor with loader. Put on head gasket, all that is great, runs good. Loader is Ford with reservoir in frame. Front pump. Problem is the speed of lift and lower. So fast it is scary and hard to control. Any way I could slow it down?

-Mine does not have pump but does have removeable cover. Head gasket is odd, not round like pistons, but oblong, sorta. This tractor was used at feed mill long time. Has loader with front pump and power steering.
