    I bought a fire damaged John Deere industrial tractor and can not read the serial tag. The engine tag is 4239TL009. I think the 2755 used that engine .Was there other tractors as well ?

    I dragged home a fire damaged JD industrial of some kind. Cant read the model number on it but I think it may be a 401B. It has a 4 cyl diesel and has a 146 loader on it.anyone know where to look for a serial plate on this model ?

    How do I pull axle from W6 ??

    I took the 4 bolts out from the bearing cap and thought I should be able to pull out the axle.No such luck. I assume it is fastened somehow in the diff.If so how is it fastened and what will I have to take apart to get at it.Is there enough room if I pull the PTO to get at it . Thanks Much

    Looking for Starter Expert

    Serial number on my tractor is 6025066.according to your post I would have starter number DR 1108950. That particular starter has a 10 tooth drive I have an 11 tooth drive.something does not jive.That is why I thought I might be able to identify the starter by the number on the armature.

    I have a 60 Standard John Deere with a starter that has the tag missing. The number stamped on the armature is RAS 5162 .Can someone tell me what starter number I have by this number? I need to replace the field coils and drive on it anyone know where I can find these parts?

    Row Crop vs Standard

    Dont know about other tractors but on olivers the row crop and standard have different gear ratios.if you have a standard with the same size tire as a row crop it will go faster.

    77 Positive Ground

    It was negative ground before I put on the new generator and regulator.Now it is positive .How do I get it back to negative ground.I must have switched something on the regulator .

    For some reason after installing a different generator and new regulator my 77 (gas) it is positive ground. Cant seem to switch polarity.Is there a simple way of switching it. thanks
