    I'm trying to remove the head of my '48 8n. It is stuck tight. I'm wiser than I was 40 years ago so now I try to finesse things as opposed to brute force. I have 9 nuts and 6 studs removed.     Ford 909 rotary cutter nut size.

    I have a Ford 909 rotary cutter. I need to sharpen the blades on it. What size socket do I need? I'm having a terrible time trying to measure it.

    can I get away with this?

    When I had the top cover off the transmission of my 48 8n I used a hand weed sprayer and mineral spirits to flush it out. Couldn't flush the differential very well but running it and futere fluid changes will help clean the rest.

    8N Fuel Tank Pads

    I have an 8N I just took the tank off. Could you use ratchet-strap material for the pads? I just created a three piece :-) ratchet strap and was thinking I could use pieces of that folded in two. I might have an old belt I could use too. Eugene
