    super m carb

    My super m idles and runs smooth at first but after i"ve worked the tractor for a hour it cuts out and misses if i tap on the govner arm that ataches to carb it will smooth out for a while. Anyone have an idea what this could be?

    OT: Removing a stripped oil fill plug ??

    irwin tools the makers of vise grips makes a damaged bolt remover.i got the broke bolts out of the manifold on my 620 you can buy them at oreillys part store for i think $22 they are well worth it

    miller brake lock

    saw an ad on ebay for miller after market brake lock anybody ever saw these? did not buy them but got the picture and made my on, they work great keeps you from bending over to lock and unlock the brakes. just wondered if anybody used them.

    decal removal

    i have a 620 with fair paint i would like to remove the old decals,and not hurt the paint,so i can replace the decals. any ideas on how to do this?my problem in mainly on the side of the hood it has mylar decals.what will take them off?

    Farmall cub tractors

    the serial # is on the right side of the tractor. this # will tell the year i think you can look it up on this site. as for the year of the motor, there is a date code on the left side of the engine behind the carb.this will tell year of motor.

    630 Valve Cover Question

    just put the valve cover back on my 620. it was the same way,the gasket will take up the space.I made mine out of gasket material it is cheaper than the gasket from DEERE.$14 verses $20 plus tax from DEERE.

    Tachometer sporadic operation

    do not know about the drive in the governer ,but on my expererence with cable drives in cold weather the cable will turn but sometimes sticks . have you pulled the cable out and oiled it that sometimes helps.

    very interesting story and a good selection of pics. it looks like you have changed hobbys from drag racing to restoring tractors . if so i know how you feel it is surely a lot cheaper hobby. i have parked my car and bought a tractor.

    i changed the clutches in my 720 pto they were slipping. when i took the unit apart you could move the coller that engages the clutches but when i put unit together you could not. thinking that the new clutches were tighter and take up more space it may be hard to engage. when i installed it on...
