1566 Hydrolics

I have a 1566, last fall i was mowing, and it lifted and lowered just fine, then when I was going to get on the road I went to raise it and nothing. I even unhooked and tried it on a disc to see if it was something with the mower hydrolics but still nothing, doesn't even make a noise

If the brakes and steering are working as normal and the TA seems fine, the MCV system is working. I would over fill the system with 5 gallons of Hytran. it hurts nothing, and covers potential internal air leaks. Jim
If the remote hydraulics suddenly quit in operation something has happened beyond the little air leaks that can prevent priming after the tractor has been sitting unused, is started, and won't prime.

General question to those that may know. Are the hydraulics on this series tractor set up to where the setting of 3 point position control can affect rear remote operation?

In a manner of speaking, yes. If you put the 3pt position control down in the "RUN" section, it will bypass the remotes and prevent them from working. Put it back into the position range and everything will work fine.

IF the spline is not worn out and the filter has been changes recently. I would look at the lever like Barnyard says. If still no go. then I would look to see if the gear came off the pump. I had that happen on my 806 once many years ago. That was a surprise at the time. Nut and gear laying right there under the pump shaft.
