Kubota charged me $190.38 to tell me they couldn't find anything wrong with my Kubota, no code in the ecm, after it through this code PO336.
I think I need to buy a service tech manual and read up on my 5 year old L3560.
The

Tractor is almost worn out . It has 138 hours on it.

That code is for the crankshaft position sensor circuit, most likely it is the sensor going bad

or a loose wire/ bad connection going to the sensor

On that Orange Tracktor Talk forum I linked to in your other thread, one guy said:

"Crankshaft sensor codes are usually caused by metallic debris on the sensor itself. If you can get at it yourself, clean the area then carefully remove it & wipe the sensor off with a clean rag. 9 times out of 10 this will fix the problem."

Friends new machine was throwing an 0336 code at around 150 hours. He called the dealer and they told him to pull the sensor and check for metal particles on the magnet and clean it if anything was found. And also something about a hic-up in the software. The dealer would have to clear the code either way. The way I take it. It's a known issue with Kubotas.

Did you read the loader has to be removed and the right side of the loader bracket has to be removed too to get to the sensor?
My dealer just connected my tractor to their computer, found nothing and charged me $190.38
That doesn't sound right, I showed him a picture of the code on the screen.
My tractor only has 138 hours on it. Do I have to clean the sensor myself? This entire event is very disappointing.
I'm betting the code will show up again. Any takers on the bet?

And you would think the Kubota dealer should know how to clean it too? NO!!!

Geo, I think you can set that code under certain conditions during operation. You can read about it on Kubota forums. It is intirely possible nothing is wrong with your tractor.

Nope, did not read that far.

Will be a bill for way more than $190 iff in they decide the sensor is bad!!

Darn those Japanese designers!!

Why didn't the dealer tell me this? I would like to know what I may have done to throw the code,
I'm going to order the shop manual (service manual used by the dealer) for my tractor and next time sit down and read up on how to fix it myself.
I had to use a service tech manual to fix my Kaw 4010 mule the dealer's service techs couldn't figure out.
