Swather looks well cared for. We had an abundance of moisture until August and then a few rains in August. We are in Central ,Missouri. We are looking at a record harvest of the corn and likely same with the beans. The market is responding accordingly with the lowest grain prices in years. Thanks for posting the pictures.i got a couple pic's of the wheat going down today. considering the next to nothing rain we had all summer i cant bish too much. seamed like it was raining all around except here.

Nice looking 400. I had one for years. Very good machines. Wheat crop looks pretty good as well.i got a couple pic's of the wheat going down today. considering the next to nothing rain we had all summer i cant bish too much. seamed like it was raining all around except here.
Pick-up reel must have been a nice luxury back then as most swathers just had a bat reel. Remember travelling thru eastern NE and SD back in the mid 60's on the way to Minnesota and surprised at all the spring crops; i.e., wheat, oats, etc. that had been swathed. Nothing like that in Kansas as it was all direct cut.i got a couple pic's of the wheat going down today. considering the next to nothing rain we had all summer i cant bish too much. seamed like it was raining all around except here.
