2N governor issues

I have a govornor issue on my 1947 2n.
Tractor runs great, but as soon as a load
is placed on the engine (begin moving,
start climbing a grade, etc), the govornor
will jerk the throttle linkage down and
stall the engine. Is there an adjustment
that can be made to stop the govornor from
doing this, or is this a sign that it must
be rebuilt.
Thanks!

hat does "down" mean? Actually see it closing carb throttle or engine just loses power?

Yes, sorry for the vague language, it will
quickly close the throttle as loaf is
applied, then, if that does not stall the
engine, it will open the throttle back up.

Well I saw your post on the other board and got to thinking about it.
Apparently your governor is installed backwards. No?
The inner workings of those units wear down from the first time they are used.
That rebuild kit with the 4 balls is a good place to start.

Installed backwards"??? I suppose that is an attempt at humor?
Personally, my first question would be, do you have the governor compensation spring in place?
