4020 gauge curiosity

Recently acquired a 64 w power shift and loader. Everything runs and works great. Only problem is none of the guages work. None - fuel, temp, trans, tach! Just doesn t add up. Is there something that needs checked before I go on a spending spree on gauges, sending units, cables etc?!

The engine tach, the powershift transmission gauge and the engine coolant temperature gauge are all ''mechanical'' and will not be affected by any electrical issues.

Ditto what wore out stated in that the gauges he referred to are mechanical. Is tractor has diesel powered engine is electrical system original 24 volt or has it been changed to 12 volt?
