64 4020 with 148 loader

Bought this unit with power shift this spring and love the power and versatility. I will soon need to use it to move seed pallets, 2500# plus. My question is what fork attachment, is available to use on this loader. Because of age, I m assuming this is not a "quick attach" loader. So just wondering what to start looking for.

So 148 146 158 family all had the same attachment thats on my 2555 it holds on with 4 pins 2 little steel locking
blocks you put on the top see picture below. If this is the only vehicle you have I dont think Id mess with a quick
coupler since its added expense and this is super simple. We beat the crap out of ours and the only thing we had to
do is weld new hay fork holes in once because they rusted out from being in the cattle lot. Which incidentally is the
other option since the 2 holes are probably already there...Ive lifted full totes of water which are right around 2300
with the old style solid round forks. But the correct attachment is also available if you search any of those models.

Great info thanks to all.

A self lveling 260, 265 will work very nice to move pallets, and have quick attach.
A 640a or 245 will be a bit smaller, but still very capable.

The 260 were available with a pallet fork attachment that also had a foldable boom in the middle. Super clever and very practical.

This one is priced right, and has utility tractors mounts. They worked also on4020s, plus they are much better, because they go to the rear axle housing, and are making it easier on your 60 year old tractor.
