definitely did. i knew several that were purchased by dairys just for the pto for pulling feed wagons and they put in several decades of use. and they started and ran every day without fail

So true. My Uncle had all Farmalls, and one 77 for the feeder wagon and baler. Since we farmed with Olivers my summer vacation would be running the 77 on the baler when they had straw to bale. That 77 never seen the inside of a building the whole time I knew it and it would start every day.
