6700 ford starter problem

My starter is acting strange hook everything up and the last thing is the ground wire grounded on starter and it clicks took the wire off solenoid same thing won't crank from switch won't click or nothing dash lights come on battery good and hot take the hot wire off solenoid that supplies voltage to key switch and it does not click. I need advice was working fine changed starter and the same thing

Check all connections including battery cables. Also if the negative cable is connected to the starter then, move it to one of the starter mounting bolts. I have seen that connecting bolt get loose and no longer provide a good ground. Your description indicates a bad connection somewhere.

Got to find out why the switch lead is hot. Somewhere that wire is picking up voltage, assuming you did not get the wires mixed up. Did your ignition switch go bonkkers?

Say wutttt? You evidently mixed wiring up when starter was changed. Put wires back exactly like they were before you removed starter.

Let’s make some real sentences out of this!!
My starter is acting strange hook everything up and the last thing is the ground wire grounded on starter
THEN I think you are saying “it just clicks” presumably when you are hitting the start switch or key, is this correct?
Then you go on to say you unhooked wires but still expect it to start??
Have you tried shorting power to the small terminal that is energized to engage the starter to see if it cranks by doing that? Have you checked if the engine is free to turn? The majority of these Ford engines that use the parent bore without sleeves are susceptible to cavitation holes in the block that can fill a cylinder with coolant locking the engine from turning.
