Not having any luck locating these. Seems most bolt or fastener stores can readily find 3/4-6 acme but not the 3/4-4 that I need to repair the Jack on my new holland 258 hay rake. Has anyone found a source for these? Only need one or two. thanks, Mike

I'm guessing the jack tube stripped out and you want to replace it with a couple of nuts? Looks like the jack tube is not available...

McMaster Carr has 3/4-5. That's as close as they get. If they don't have it, you're out of luck. Two alternatives: First, have a machinist repair the jack tube or make you a nut. Second, get some Acme all thread and a nut in a thread that you can get, like 3/4-5, and replace the jack screw and the nut.

Was the nut ever serviced by New Holland? If not mabey a haybine jack of that vintage will have the parts you need
It's NLA from New Holland. I looked up the part. #3 in the diagram below.
The entire jack is available for the low low price of $1904.90. Must be the last one they have left... For that money I'd go on Amazon and buy a $30 weld-on pipe jack. My dad hated New Holland jacks with a passion.

I believe all the NH jacks are the same so finding a junk haybine or baler with the factory jack is a viable option.

Yes part #3 was missing when I purchased rakes, my plan was to make it myself if I could find the correct thread pitch nuts. I will expand my search to other new holland implements for Jack parts also. Thanks, Mike

If all else fails you can buy them implement jacks for about 100.00. The ones that can be turned horizontally. But u will need to weld a round mount on the frame.

We just use a threaded rod for most of the jacks we fix or replace the screw in. I needed a thrust bearing for the jack on my packer so I have that now just need the packer back so I can put it on. I may alos need to change the mount from a ring and snap ring ro the pipe and go that route.

About what year was that Fritz? I am hoping to have less than that into fixing and replacing teeth on a 258 and 260 pair with the new holland hitch for doubling up second and third cutting windrows.
