Adjusting guards

How do yall adjust the guards on a combine where it has so many of them? I am working on my haybine putting stub guards in it and they need bending up. I was wondering if yall use shims under the guard or how yall deal with it

It depends on how bad the alignment is, but I did bend some guards using 2.5-3-foot x 2" galvanized pipe. This usually happened when a guard had been bent, not when installing new ones.

We have had times to take the guard to the grinder and grind on that heel to make it fit right.
Shims are your friend. GG Wes
