Case 222 PTO/log splitter/3 point

Hello All,

I have been getting my old case 222 going here and I would like to add a log splitter if possible. Would I have to get a 3point setup to do so? Is there a 3 point kit or any step by step guides that can help me if so? How would I plum in the splitter?

Should I just get a new tractor with a 3 point? LOL

Is a serious question? I mean, the Case 222 I know of is the size of a lawn tractor. Not enough front end weight just to carry a 3pt.
splitter around.

You probably need a bigger tractor for a 3 point mount splitter. Or get a trailer-type self contained splitter. I've pulled my 20 ton
splitter around with my Cub Cadet.

Keep in mind that a most 3 point mount splitters hook to the tractor's hydraulics and can be pretty slow.

This guy seems to have a 3 point log splitter on a garden tractor? https://youtu.be/xix9DnpesFk I see lots of people doing 3 points on the 222s

Case made a mounted splitter for their garden tractors. I think the model number was J32 or K31? I helped a guy split with one many years ago. It was mounted on his Case Garden tractor, don't know the model of the tractor. The thing split in both directions, and took about 4 guys to keep up with it. I have never seen many around, but it was impressive.

Yes they made three point splitters,, I doubt it weighs any more than the hyd tiller does but the option front weight kit will keep things on the ground if you are in hilly ground,, not 100% needed but nice to have,, you need the hyd pto kit to power the splitter,,

the weight kit is shown here on my 444 but also snaps right on the 222,, I do not have teh dozer on when tilling on the 222 as I have not installed a diverter valve on it yet,, I do have one on my 44 4 though so if I wanted the dozer could be left on while tilling or using any of my rear attachments on it

Hello case nutty, so what do I do next? Where can I find the 3 point kit would be the next logical step in my mind while keeping an eye out for a splitter.. any tips on getting a 3 point rigged up? I forgot to tell you my tractor came with the manual lift not hydraulic.

you need hyd lift for a three point hitch,, that can be added but it requires a two spool control valve, hyd rockshaft hyd cylinder ect to do it,, they also made tow behind splitters i would look for one of those personally, call Bill @ 608-924-1662, Bareveld imp,, huge CASE Compact supplier,, leave a message if no answer and he will call you back, its just him and his brother running it and they are busy guys but Great o deal with,,
