The injector pump on my 500 operates very well with one exception. The governor has become very sluggish, discovered this year when it was taken out of storage. I took the timing window cover off, it's very responsive when manually moving control rod manually. The control rod is free, no sticking. So probably the issue is in the governor section? Would it be wise to take the governor housing end cap off and spray the governor unit with like carb cleaner, or should I take the whole governor housing off for inspection? Or should another approach be taken? I have parts drawings, but no dis-assembly procedures. Any advice is deeply appreciated. Of note, this is only used for local pulls, so doesn'r grt much run time. Gotta fix this, and a weep on the power steering hydraulic cylinder shaft. Thanks![
