case 970 battery question

can i replace the two batteries with one big battery or does it have to have two? the way they have the battery box made its a pain in the butt with two batteries just thought it would be easier with one. has anyone ever moved the box to a better location?

I went to one battery years ago, I do away with the second set of battery cables,, replace the Wirthless original ends with Real soldiered on ones,, I still use the original battery box and location, easy to change out one battery on them verses two,, if you run it in the winter and do COLD starts you may need two yet would be the only reason to me to run two these days
