Comparing voltmeters


Thinking maybe chopping the induction clamp off my old timing light, haven't used it in thirty years anyway. Then using it for the lead.

Also noticed Hz markings when using the amp clamp but it's uses a LPF (low pass filter). 30hz (3600 rpm) is really low and there's thousands of volts :shock:
Correction 60hz, small engine sparks every revolution.

Couldn't agree more. A 117 will do almost everything non-specialized-automotive related (house/farm/general use)...for those oddball automotive tasks, they make a 87V.
