Corn made knee high

Thus years corn is well over knee high by the 4th, that's good news. This is over my shoulders, the worst is waist high this year. I have seen my corn tasseling by the 4th, but that is rare. This is a good crop. MI e is about as big as I've seen in my area this year.

In central KS we had much corn 5 - 7 feet tall and tassled by July 1. Seemed odd to me but I am not a farmer, just a guy who grew up farming 50 years ago. Oddly every field I drove by tassled pretty much fully on the same day.
