Correct 1206 Decals

What is the correct decals; Farmall or International?

Depends on whether it is a Farmall or an International.

Need tractor picture and serial number plate picture. Serial number plate will tell you.

The most prominent feature between the two is a Farmall is a row crop tractor so the tread width is adjustable to fit different row spacing. So the front axle width is adjustable.
1206 Farmall on tractordata
The International 1206 is the Standard version or sometimes called “wheel” tractors or Wheatland. The front axle is a fixed width on them.
1206 International on TD
International Harvester didn’t put a lot of info in the serial number as did some manufacturers, mostly just a numerical record of the machines produced. The S suffix tells you it has a TA and the Y denotes a 12 GPM hydraulic pump.

Thanks for the reply. The side panels don’t have holes for a Farmall plate so I guess they are wrong ones or I should use Farmall decals????

Well yes , it’s a Farmall tractor , as the F on the serial number plate says. Even a picture of the tractor also will confirm it.

Yes, it must have the wrong side panels on it.

Early ones had a white '1206' decal. All others had a 'badge'.Your tractor is a late one. IH started the SN numbers at 7500. There were about 9000 built,according to Updike's book.

It's a 1967 so it should have metal emblems for the FARMALL and the 1206.
