dyno tuning my tractor

don't have a pto , so how can i get my farmall dyno tuned and who does it in connecticut,rhode island or massachusetts ? please get back to me - thanks

Most if not all new tractor dealers have a dyno.

i thought they needed the pto to do it ? any good shops in my area that are good at sqeaking every last bit of power out of it ?

Sorry did not read the post good enough the first time. without a pto the only other way that I know of is an engine or chassis dyno.

try and find someone with a belt dyno. i've never seen a tractor hooked up to a chassis dyno. not sure how that would work.

The only way I know to do it is put it under the biggest load you can , but at load RPM and tune the carb while walking along side it, BUT, it is HIGHLY UNSAFE, but it will work unless the hitch or chain breaks and the tire gets you. You could pull the same load and stop tractor and adjust a 1/4 turn at a time until it is where you want it which would be safer.

Thats how I do it but instead of walking next to it I use a piece of stiff hose and clamp it to the adjusting screw. Then I adjust it from the comfort of my seat.

my club has a belt drive dyno you might try finding one of those.
