There are actually two questions. First, I resealed a JDB injector pump on a JD 4010. Had coffee grounds in the timing window. Bought the JD manual. When I installed the EID weight cage, there was a 1/16" gap between it and the cam ring that does not exist when I put the flexible ring weight cage on. Is this a problem; doesn't seem like it should be, but I installed the flexible ring style anyways. Pump ID 220039SP. Second question. After installing the pump, the tractor started right up. Went out and swathed for two hours and then lost power again. In fourth gear it wants to die, in third gear it will cut, but it runs slow (full throttle.) It doesn't have the power it should have. It has a new filter and fuel pump. I have blown out the return line and the check valve. I can drive around the field with just the tractor and have no problem, but run the swather and after two or three lengths of the field, I lose power. Pulled the injector pump again and checked my work, but cannot find the problem. It seems like the problem builds as its under load. I did not pull the head apart (valves) because the issue seemed obvious, ie. the coffee grounds. Got hay on the ground, any ideas?
