F-20 road gear

If I was to take the road gear off my 1935 F-20 that now has steel wheels. What do I have to change to take it off. Do I have to add a coupling or is it the same that is on there? If I took it off what do they sell for? I know that the coulping cover goes back on after it is off but, I am more worried a bout finding the couplings or those parts if I take it of. Thanks
