what is fair asking price for following:
'46 2N 12volt system with good tires, new starter, plugs, wiring, coil AND 4 ft House bush hog - tractor runs good although old, like me thinking around $2K

up here in the N-E, you are in the ballpark.
While most people want a 8N and the 9N-2N will set a bit longer, with good tires you will probably get your price with that mower.

Just as an example, when I pick up a beat 9N-2N with useable tires,
fix it so all systems work like they should, and clean it up,
then trade it for my next one to my local small corner lot dealer.....
He usually gets $1600-$1900 when he sells them.

With a high/low trans, you could add $500 to that price.
You definitely want that mentioned in your ad.
It's not an easy thing put /take out and it adds a lot of utility to the tractor!

I'd start it at 2750.. aim for 2500, and if you needed the money yhe next day.. take 2000... I think it is likely worth MORE than 2000$ though.. ( assuming it has a sherman )
