when joining TA housing to rear end housing,a fellow told me to use a rubber band an put around top roller bearing on top shaft to keep rollers intact,,anybody got any pics of roller bearing,curious how big or wide of a rubber band i would need...any other tips when joining the ta to rear end..he also said put it in 3rd gear,what does that help do...thanks,,,,,, dewy

Look at this video at 4:20 he holds it in his hand, about 3/4 inch long rollers and about 1 3/4 to 2 inches in diameter.

#32 rubber band goes around twice if I remember correctly. I remove the rubber band by 2 pieces of string 180 degrees apart tired to rubber band. I piece of string breaks the band , the other one removes the band.
